Jackie Boland Is The Aarp Hawaii Community Outreach Director. She’s Been Coordinating Aarp’s Sponsorship Of The 2017 Hawaii Book And Music Festival And Its Disrupt Aging Pavilion.  Jackie Has Been With The Aarp Hawaii State Office Since 2000 And Is Responsible For Engaging Aarp Members, Volunteers, Community Partners And The Public In Issue Education, Community Service, And Grass Roots Activism On Issues Important To People 50+.   Her Key Areas Of Work Include Family Caregiving, Financial Resilience, Livable Communities, And Fraud Prevention. 
Mike Malaghan:  A Lover And Reader Of History, Mike Malaghan Has Visited 200 Countries, Starting With The Peace Corps In 1966. While Mike Spent A Lifetime In The Overseas Corporate World, He Always Thought Of Himself As A Writer. He Retired In 2003 To Follow His Calling. Married To A Japanese, Living In Hawaii, He Knew The Story Of The Picture Brides Who Gave Their Sons To The 442/100th Regiment Was The Stuff Of A Good Novel: Woman Of Silk And Steel: A Family Saga Of Hawaii’s Japanese Immigrants.
